St Vincent’s Hospital is dedicated to supporting the development and education of all health care professionals. The founding Sisters believed that in order to maintain a high standard of care it was important to foster an environment of learning and teaching.

Today St Vincent's Hospital has academic partnerships in medical, nursing and allied health practice. In recent years there has been a push in academic recognition for clinicians and the development of academic units in areas of expertise.

Academic partnerships and tertiary relationships exist with a number of universities, including:

While educating health professionals is a core priority, St Vincent's is committed to supporting further training and development of staff in all areas and at all levels.
